Brussels and Strasbourg Locations Offer Interactive Experiences
Visitors to Brussels or Strasbourg can now visit the European Parliament, the EU institution representing European citizens.
The Parliament in Strasbourg is open to visitors six days a week throughout the year. Visitors can take a virtual tour of the EU via an interactive map and learn about the Union's diversity through over 100 stories. In Brussels, the Parlamentarium is Europe's largest parliamentary visitors' center. It features a cinema that provides insights into the Parliament's work and a role-playing game that simulates parliamentary debates.
The European Parliament is responsible for adopting EU laws and scrutinizing the work of the EU's executive body, the European Commission. It is directly elected by EU citizens, making it the only transnational parliament in the world.
